M16 16-channel mic pre
Late last year I re-visited the design of the M16.... The power supply has always been a problem in manufacture and so I introduced a re-design so that the stabilised power supplies were inside the main unit, just leaving the transformer external. This now works well and a couple of tiny changes in the circuitry mean that the mic amps are even better at rejecting noise.
There are M16s in stock now!
We have now ceased production of the P38 original dark blue version.
This has been the most successful equipment ever; (more successful even than the old SC2!) it was a 'best kept secret' for a while, but now it really is in demand, and loved by many producers. .... these compressors are being used everywhere! I have batches being made all the time, they are now on about 10 day delivery backlog; but we are making them as fast as we can...... but I still like to test and listen to every one that we make.
These are fully proven and in production now.... it's sounding awesome! It's very much like the days when I was trying out the first JoeMeek optical compressors --- and wondering why anyone would ever use anything else. It's true that there are clever engineers who can make digital equipment do exactly what you specify..... but the problem is, no-one knows how to specify 'punchy, warm, deep and full'!!
One new one in stock; it's a bit of a special, with an ultra low-noise front end. I'm using it myself at the moment, but it's there for someone who's looking.......!

BARGAINS, NEW and GOOD USED EQUIPMENT UPDATED 14th November 2012
Winter is here, the boats are disappearing from the marina and the dark evenings are causing all good audio people are spending more time in the studio!
I'm afraid that's the end of the line for P38EX, well, the end for now. I think there are one or two more metalworks in the stores but no more electronics assemblies built. So I will be building them now only on special order.
Re P38V8 'LEGACY' compressor: I had completely sold out but now I have delivery of new metalworks from our UK suppliers and so new 'LEGACY's are now available and in stock. My manufacturing ability is small.... everything is hand-made, and metalwork manufacture ----takes time so there was a time lag, but that's now over and I have 'Legacies' in stock. They are proving to be reliable and a solid 'workhorse' of a compressor for everywhere that some additional 'bite' is required.
